SOFT COATING
(for light and dark cotton shirts)
Are you using laser dye-sublimation toner or ink jet
dye-sublimation ink and looking longingly at the T-shirt color selections and
pricing of 50/50 blend fabrics as well as 100% cotton? Are you tired of
paying $6 per shirt for a blank 100% polyester T-shirt? Do you like the
zero visual presence of dye-sublimation transfers over typical poly-resin coated
transfer papers? If so, you can now have all of the advantages with none
of the expense using this brand new, radically different product. Here are
some of the advantages of Soft Coating:
-
Use dye-sublimation toner or inks to apply transfers to 100%
cotton or 50/50 blend T-shirts
-
Use fabric colors you never thought were possible (gold,
kelly green, California blue, Carolina blue, royal blue, red, orange, sports
gray, dark lavender, violet, sandstone, azalea, plus many others) - For
these darker colors, your artwork will need to be dark enough to be seen
since the color source is not opaque
-
No visual presence (staining) outside of the print area of
the shirt, no matter what the fabric color
-
Minimal feel (hand) on the shirt
-
Sublimation dyes yield bright colors that now will remain
when washed
-
Crisp transfer detail that will not change over time. That
means the sublimation dyes will not migrate before or after washing. Your
lettering will remain crisp no matter what
-
Inexpensive per transfer (approximately 12 cents to 14 per
transfer)
-
Can also be used with OEM toner for laser printers/copiers.
One caveat though is we have noticed OEM toner transfers once pressed are
not nearly as vibrant as those from sublimation toner
SOFT COATING was developed for applying opaque transfers on dark
cotton fabrics using our white toner. One of distributors tried it on light
colored 50/50 blend shirts and was overwhelmed with the performance of the
product. We then took it a further step and tested it onto light colored 100%
cotton shirts and were equally satisfied.
This coating can be applied in two different ways with equally good success. One
involves spraying the coating onto the fabric using a HVLP sprayer and the other
involves rolling the coating onto the printed transfer.
If using OEM toner from a color laser printer/copier, you simply print onto our
release paper without the normal concerns about damaging the equipment when
using coated transfer papers. This is a major advantage for those who can’t get
transfer papers to work in their equipment. One caveat though is we have noticed
that OEM toner pressed are not nearly as vibrant as those from sublimation
toner.
We are so sure you will love this product, we are offering the following
