T-Shirt Pressing Instructions SoffTee Pressing Instructions For Alps MicroDry printers and regular toner laser printers: Using regular toner or an Alps printer, pressing with SoffTee, HotTee or DuraTrans transfer papers is easy. Use a lint roller and remove all dust from the surface of the T-shirt. Place your transfer on the garment and prepress for 3 - 5 seconds, then press at 380 degrees, heavy pressure for 15 seconds. Remove the garment from the press and peel. Pull diagonally across the front in one smooth, fast peel. If you pressed and peeled properly, all of the polymer coating and your color will be transferred from the paper to the fabric. For laser printers using SubliLaser dye-sublimation toner: Use a lint roller and remove all dust from the surface of the T-shirt. To fully sublimate the toner into HotTee and SoffTee’s polymer coating, place your transfer on the garment and prepress for 3 - 5 seconds, then press for 32 seconds at 395, and peel hot. Slide a sheet of paper or Teflon inside the T-shirt. Laundry Instructions: You can wash and dry the garment in your washer/dryer, but make sure to turn the garment so the transfer is on the inside and avoid using bleach. Set the wash temperature to cold or warm, not hot. Detergents with powdered bleach in them are also not acceptable. Set the dryer for the medium heat setting, not hot. Release Paper Pressing Instructions: Use a lint roller and remove all dust from the surface of the T-shirt. If you are pressing onto 50/50 or 100% polyester fabric, prepress for 3 - 5 seconds and place your transfer on the garment, then press the transfer for 40 seconds at 395 degrees. For 50/50 shirts, you will need to pretreat the transfer area with a prep liquid before pressing. Peel immediately. There are zero laundry restrictions for straight dye-sublimation toner transfers onto fabric. For any questions, please contact Walt Watson, Image Solutions, 108 N. Harris St Sandersville, GA 31082.
